Levine's contained co-regulation

Levine's self-holding practice — one hand on forehead, one on chest OR one on chest, one on belly. Wait until you feel a shift between the two hands. Contained co-regulation.
Practice (5–10 min, seated or lying)
- Place one hand on forehead, other on chest
- Feel weight, temperature, contact — no goal
- Wait for a shift: breath deepens, sigh, temperature change
- Then move lower hand to belly — same waiting
