Long-Distance Relationship Plan

Distance is survivable — ambiguity is not

TherapistAssist logo

LDRs don't fail from distance — they fail from ambiguity. This page pins down the visit cadence, communication rhythm, exclusivity terms, and the end-date for the distance.

Visit cadence + who travels
Daily communication rhythm (call, text, video)
Exclusivity terms — spelled out
Trust agreements (social media, going out, opposite-sex friends)
The end-date for distance — when do we close the gap?
Signs the LDR is not working (name them now, in a good moment)

Ambiguity is the enemy

Distance is survivable; not knowing when it ends is not. Set a date, revisit if needed, but don't leave it open.
