Self-Parenting Plan
Notice, comfort, limit, delight

Re-parenting is not affirmations — it is doing four specific jobs for yourself that a caregiver was supposed to do: notice, comfort, hold limits, and be glad you exist. Write each job as an action, not a feeling.
Check in before the crash. What am I feeling, what do I need, when did I last eat or rest?
Respond to distress rather than overriding it. What actually settles me?
Say no on my own behalf. Stop work, leave early, decline the extra thing.
Do something because I like it, with no productive justification.
Small and repeated beats large and rare
A five-minute check-in done most days rebuilds self-attunement faster than an occasional big act of self-care. Frequency is the mechanism.
