Silent Retreat Prep + Integration
Before, during, and after — because the retreat isn't the point

For clients heading into (or coming out of) a silent retreat — 3 days to 3 months. Retreats amplify everything; the container is what makes the amplification useful. Integration after is where the actual life change happens.
Before
- Life logistics handled — bills, kids, work, pets
- Emergency contact + note to teacher about mental health history
- No major life decisions during or in first 2 weeks after
- Existing therapist knows you're going
During (things you already know)
Follow the schedule. Talk to a teacher when overwhelmed. Take care of the body — sleep, food, warmth. You can leave if you need to.
After — integration plan
Daily practice plan for weeks 1–4 post-retreat
Sangha / community I'll stay connected with
Insights I want to remember (write them, they fade fast)
What I don't want to lose about how I feel today
The retreat is not the point
The rest of your life is. Integration is the difference between a beautiful memory and a changed nervous system.
