Non-sexual touch, decoupled from initiation

TherapistAssist logo

Non-sexual touch is often the first casualty of a strained relationship — and rebuilding it usually has to come before sex does. This menu decouples affection from initiation.

Rate each 0 (don't want) → 5 (love this)
  • Long hug on arrival home
  • Hand-hold walking
  • Head on shoulder / lap
  • Hair stroking
  • Foot rub
  • Back scratch
  • Being held at night
  • Kiss on the forehead
  • Sitting close on the couch
  • 6-second kiss goodbye
Times I actively don't want touch (need to know I can say no without it meaning rejection)
A daily minimum we're both committing to

Touch is a language, not a bid

If every touch is read as sexual initiation, one person stops touching. Rebuild the vocabulary of non-sexual affection first.
