Open Awareness Meditation
No object — attention rests open like the sky

Also called choiceless awareness. No object — attention rests open like the sky, and whatever arises (sound, sensation, thought) passes through without being followed. Usually taught after concentration is established.
How to enter
- Start with 5 min of breath to settle
- Drop the anchor — attention opens to the whole field
- Let sounds, sensations, thoughts appear and pass
- Don't pick anything up, don't push anything away
- If lost, return to breath, then open again
What kept trying to grab attention
Moments when the sky-quality actually showed up
Not a technique — a resting
Open awareness isn't something you DO. It's what remains when you stop doing. Start with concentration; drop it once it's stable.
