Body Checking & Avoidance Log
Make the behavior visible — then pick one to change

Body checking (weighing, pinching, mirror scanning, comparing) and body avoidance (baggy clothes, no mirrors, no photos) are two sides of the same coin — both keep body-image distress alive by treating the body as a constant threat. Step one is making the behavior visible.
My checking behaviors — what counts
Weighing, pinching, measuring, mirror checks, fit checks (does this still feel tight?), comparing to others, photographing, asking for reassurance.
My avoidance behaviors — what counts
Loose clothing only, avoiding mirrors, refusing photos, declining social events, only undressing in the dark, body-only therapy avoidance.
