Per-client library of embodied resources
Your resources
These are the places, people, postures, and small moments that bring your body closer to settled. You and your therapist built this list together.
Why this helps
A resource doesn't have to fix anything. It just has to give your body a small, honest experience of calm or aliveness — enough to take the next breath, the next step.
Anytime your body feels too much or too little — too wound up, or too checked out. There's no wrong moment.
A resource doesn't have to fix what's happening. It just gives your body a small, honest experience of calm or aliveness — enough to take the next breath, the next step.
Read each one slowly. Let yourself feel into it for a moment before moving on.
For example: Your therapist wrote the cue — say it in your head, then notice what your body does.
Your therapist will fill these in during session. If a card is blank, that's normal — it'll be ready next time.
Pick one resource from above. Find your seat. Two slow breaths.
Now bring the resource up — the place, the person, the gesture. Don't push. Just let it arrive. Notice anything that shifts in your body: a softer shoulder, a deeper breath, warmth somewhere, more space.
Stay with what arrives for one minute. That's it. You can come back to it as many times as you like.
When you reach for a resource between sessions, log a quick note. Your therapist will see this — it shows what's actually working.
